This is, first and foremost, an effort to consolidate authentic information about books, authors, academia and organizations relating to modern Tamil literature. Apart from literature, this is also intended to be a repository of information about Tamil history and culture.  
[[Vishnupuram Literary Circle]]  presented the [[Tamil Wiki - Thooran Award]] for 2024 to noted manuscriptologist [[M.K. Kovaimani]]. The award vizha was held on 14-15 August, 2024 at Erode.


The information gathered by dedicated contributors - both literary scholars and readers - is reviewed by the editorial team of senior writers and researchers of literature. Before publication, it is vetted by the advisory team.  
Writer [[Nanjil Nadan]], member of Board of Editors of Tamil.wiki presented the award to M.K. Kovaimani. Other members of the Board and scholars from across the country graced the event.
