Important Works

Vishnupuram was Jeyamohan's noble novel. This novel created an intense stir in the Tamil creative world. Subsequently, he completed the classical work Kotravai. In this work, Silappathikaram was elaborated in a new classical form for its myths. His next outstanding work was Venmurasu, a modern epic novel. Kumarithuraivi was a majestic creation from Jeyamohan.

Notable Events

At the launch of the Rubber, Jeyamohan said ‘Tamil novels are currently either serials or short stories. Novels require complex interplay and vision, but they are inadequate in Tamil novels”. This speech sparked lengthy debates for many years. In 1992, he wrote a critique Novel.

Jeyamohan organized his readers and founded Vishnupuram Ilakkiya Vattam (Vishnupuram Literary Circle) in August 2009. On the mission of honoring senior Tamil writers, this organization presents the Vishnupuram Literary Award every year.

Jeyamohan motivated many people through his writings. He inspired large number of people with his unique ideologies and, transformed their personality, so as to perceive the world differently, to begin writing (especially new women writers and critics) and, to immerse themselves on new avenues (social service) whole heartedly.

Both the speaker and listener shall act sensibly if the speech pivoted on literature, aesthetics, philosophy and spirituality is a paid program. When there was an announcement of Jeyamohan’s paid speech (November 10, 2018) on 'How did our present way of ideology evolve?', it created a huge uproar among the readers, critics and writers of Tamil literature. However, the speech was conducted well and it was great success. This was revolutionary in the context of Tamil literature. This event was followed by another paid speech in Chennai (March 2, 20219) 'How to like and dislike the tradition?'. This program was also well received.

Literary Significance

In Jeyamohan's writings, main themes are spiritual quests and moral pursuits . Vishnupuram and Kumarithuraivi have a common line. It is the spiritual consciousness known to inner quest alone. Similarly, there is a common line between the Kotravai and Venmurasu. It is the mystical human ethical state that occurs within the mind.

The spirituality and morality that Jeyamohan envisioned to bestow to his reader is engrossed in all his works. The spiritual quest that commenced in Vishnupuram is discovered and completed in Kumarithuraivi. The moral upheaval that commenced in Kotravai is reminiscent in parts of the novel Venmurasu and then flows towards ultimate truth and then gets integrated. Journey between the spiritual quest and discovery, and the struggle of moral upheaval to ultimate truth are the foundation of writer Jeyamohan's traits. Both these make him stand out from rest of the writers across the world.

Jeyamohan is passionate about Indian philosophy, art and classical literature. He delivers them to the next generation through his writings in contemporary manner. He redefines the Indian Tamil tradition in accordance with the virtues of modern times. He is the author of the world's largest novel, Venmurasu. It is considered as one of the most important and relevant novels in the world.

Jeyamohan is equated to Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy in larger part of world literature, for approaching and examining the human beings subconsciously on the basis of psychological and moral aspects, and to liberate them internally. In modern Tamil literature, he is celebrated in the line of eminent personalities like Pudhumaipithan, Jayakanthan and Sundara Ramasamy.
