The Thirukkural Lady Zamindar Commentary (Thirukkural Deepalangaram) (1928-1929) is a commentary on the Thirukkural written by Her Highness K.S.V. Lakshmi Ammal, Lady Zamindar of Marungapuri Zamin. It is considered the first commentary on Thirukkural written by a woman.
History
Thirukural Depalangaram was written by K.S.V. Lakshmi Ammal in 1928 and published in 1929. It was printed at Sadhu Printing Press, owned by Thiru.V. Kalyanasundara Mudaliyar. After a long interval it was republished by Saratha publications.
Evaluation
