S. Suresh

S. Suresh (born 3 February 1965) is a bilingual writer, who wrote short stories, poetry and translations in both Tamil and English. He continues to write articles and short stories.
Life Notes
S. Suresh was born on February 3, 1965 to Sundaresan and Bama in Villupuram district and was raised in Secunderabad. He currently lives in Bangalore. He did his B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) from Osmania University and his Masters (M.Tech) from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISC). He runs a training center in the field of information technology (Cloud technology Expert) in Bangalore. He married Gayatri and has two daughters, Sriranjani and Harini.
Literary Life
S. Suresh writes in Tamil and English. He has written articles on music and cinema. He has been writing poems and short stories. His first short story 'Mooga Muni' appeared in Pathagai magazine. His poem collection of 'Miruga Kavithaigal' written for Pathagai has been published as a free book. S. Suresh wrote the series 'Kaviyin Kan' presenting women poets for Pathagai. He has written music articles, Indian classical book reviews and film reviews in Solvanam online magazine. The stories written for Pathagai and Solvanam were compiled under the title Bageshri' and published by 'Yavarum - Pathagai'.
A collection of music articles written by him in English was published on Kindle under the name Music without Boundaries'. He has translated some poems from Kurunthogai and some poems of Telugu poet Kshetraiya. They were published in Sahitya Academy's journal 'Indian Literature'. S. Suresh translated Nithyakanni novel written by M.V. Venkatram from Tamil to English.
S. Suresh cites Ashokamithran and Jeyamohan in Tamil and world writers like Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Marquez and John le Carre as his literary ideals. He mentions Vaikam Mohammad Basheer, Bibhuti Bhushan, Tara Shankar, Bhairappa, Poornachandra Tejeswi, Raghavendra Patil, P.K. Banerjee and Narendranath Mitra as his favorite writers in Indian languages.
Literary Significance
S. Suresh's stories are closely related to Ashokamitran's storyline. His stories based on Secunderabad are significant. He has successfully used a unique language for them.

- 'Sujatha Uyirmai' award for the collection 'Bageshri'
- S. Suresh's translated his short story 'Vanmam' and came out with the name DNA Out of Print' in an English magazine and won First Prize.
