Literary Place

Kulla Chithan Sarithiram is the best example in Tamil of the post-modern narrative style of blending multiple realities into a narrative. Books, Memories, Myths, and everyday reality all blend together to create a fictional world. This novel called Kulla Chithan Sarithiram is written by Halasyamaiyar who comes in it. The post-modern style of writing is not borrowed from European novels, but the author has taken it from the stories and spiritual traditions that have always existed in Indian-Tamil life. Tamil Sithar (Siddhar) Tradition which already existed as Metaphysics has been modernized. This is a novel that presents spirituality beyond religion.
