A. Sakthiverpillai (20th century C.E) was a Tamil Sitrilakkia poet. Vinayakar Pillai Tamil was an important composition of his.

Private Life

A. Sakthiverpillai was born to Arumugam Pillai in the Vellalar community at Thamarankottai near Pattukkottai, Thanjavur in 20th century C.E. A. Sakthiverpillai received a school education and learned how to write poetry. C. Swaminatha Pandithar taught him grammar and literary structure. He was devoted to Lord Muruga. A. Sakthiverpillai served as a poet in the Marungapuri king's court.

Literary Life

A. Sakthiverpillai composed verses. A. Sakthiverpillai was the editor of Bharathamitran weekly in Thirukkudanthai. While living in Devakottai, A. Sakthiverpillai composed Vinayaka Pillai Tamil. In 1926, A. Sakthiverpillai composed and published the book Sandhanamalai to aid Puduvayal Kumarappa Chettiar's prayer for a child (Tamil Digital Library).
