Vishnupuram Kumaraguruparan Award, an award initiated by Vishnupuram Literary Circle in honor of the late poet Kumaraguruparan, is awarded to young talents of Tamil poetry.
Genesis
Poet Kumaraguruparan passed away on June 19, 2016. The literary award in his name was initiated by the wish of his friend Kavitha Swarnavalli. The award is being given every year since 2017, for poets under the age of forty. Vishnupuram Literary Circle gives the award.

The award consists of a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- and an honorary memento hand crafted sculpture.
