Priyamvada (Born: October 14, 1982) is a literary translator and columnist. Priyamvada has been translating Tamil fictional works into English.

Priyamvada was born on October 14, 1982 in Chennai to Ramkumar and Sujatha. Priyamvada completed her schooling at Vidya Mandir School, Mylapore, Chennai, and earned her B.Com bachelor's degree from Stella Maris College and then an MBA degree from The XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Priyamvada married Vijay Ranganathan on July 12, 2020. Priyamvada works for a private mutual fund firm in the financial sector. Priyamvada invests in commercially successful companies as well as socially beneficial companies, and participates in the board of directors of those companies. Her husband Vijay Ranganathan, who previously worked in an investment bank, is currently a screenwriter.

Priyamvada's debut work, ''Meendum Pudhiyavargalin Kathaigalaipatri'' (About the Stories of Newcomers Again), a review article, was published on Jeyamohan's website. In 2021, Priyamvada was selected to participate in the South Asia Speaks Fellowship Programme, a literary workshop. Priyamvada translated Jeyamohan's short stories collection ''Aram'' part of this workshop. Priyamvada's first book ''Stories of the True'', an English translation of Jeyamohan's short stories collection ''Aram'', was published in 2022 by Juggernaut Publishing House. A. Muttulingam’s short story ''Ennai Thirupi Yedu'' translated by her as ''Take Me Back'' was published in the online magazine Spillswords.
In 2022, Priyamvada was selected to participate in ALTA Emerging Translator's Mentorship Program, an international workshop for young translators organized by the American Literary Translators Association (ALTA). As part of this, Priyamvada is translating Jeyamohan's novel ''Vellai Yaanai'' (White Elephant). Priyamvada has been doing translations and writing articles. Priyamvada names [[Jeyamohan]], [[Ashokamitran]] and Tolstoy as her literary idols.
