Priyamvada (Born: October 14, 1982) is a literary translator and essayist. Priyamvada translates literary fiction from Tamil into English.
Birth, Education
Priyamvada was born on October 14, 1982 in Chennai to Ramkumar and Sujatha. Priyamvada completed her schooling at Vidya Mandir School, Mylapore, Chennai, and earned her B.Com bachelor's degree from Stella Maris College and an MBA degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Personal Life
Priyamvada married Vijay Ranganathan on July 12, 2020. Priyamvada works for a private equity fund that focuses on investing for social impact. Through this venture, Priyamvada invests in commercially successful and socially relevant companies, and participates in the board of directors of such companies. Her husband, Vijay Ranganathan, who previously worked in an investment bank, is currently a screenwriter.
