"Metaphorically and directly the stories in this collection, which are set in the backdrop of jungles and oceans, address the intricacies in relationships and the struggles of men and women trying to break the clutches imposed by relationships", says Ambai about this collection.

"Kutti Revathi's initial short stories subtly talked about the ignored mind spaces of women. The crux of her stories addressed the eternal complexities of the physical union of a man and a woman.
