Kulla Chithan Sarithiram (2000) is the first novel writtey by Yuvan Chandrasekar. A metafiction novel depicting the life of a mystic known as Kulla Chithar through the experiences and notes written by many people who were variously associated with the magic he performed.

Halasyamaiyar, who is trying to write the history of an unnamed Siddha known as Kulla Chithar and Vamana Swamis, learns about the experiences of Muthuswamy who was in contact with the Siddha. Halasyamaiyar, who is working as a policeman, quits his job and voices Muthuswamy and he writes his story. After his death, he comes to Kulla Chithar Mutt to light the lamp according to his request. There he gets to know the story of Kulla Chithar. The story of childless Chigappi Achi, Palaniappa Chettiar, and the story of Thayarammal who had a child before marriage and becomes a virgin again are intertwined. The novel shows that Kulla Chithan, who appears in different places in different forms and connects everyone through miracles, lives in another reality beyond the world in which these characters live.
