Novelist [[Visalatchi Ammal]] was an associate editor in ''Logobakari'' magazine. Nataraja Iyer was the editor then. After his death, Vaidhyanatha Iyer became the editor. Within a year differences developed between him and Visalatchi Ammal. So she left Logobakari and started her own magazine Hithakarini. She also started Gnanachandrika,  a spiritual magazine from the same Hithakarini press. Hithakarini was published until 1915.

History

Novelist Visalatchi Ammal was an associate editor in Logobakari magazine. Nataraja Iyer was the editor then. After his death, Vaidhyanatha Iyer became the editor. Within a year differences developed between him and Visalatchi Ammal. So she left Logobakari and started her own magazine Hithakarini. She also started Gnanachandrika, a spiritual magazine from the same Hithakarini press. Hithakarini was published until 1915.
