You are the light of wisdom for the mass impacted with ignorance. In this juncture when our country is losing its charm, pulled towards slavery, dominated by externals, deficient in language, bombarded with caste politics, losing the morality, running the life without the glory of humanity, magazines such Eezha Kesari is need of the hour and this landscape needs a lot.

Citizens of this world have to accept the responsibility of being selfless and sacrifice towards the nation’s glory. In the words of Bharathi, Mother and motherland are superior to anything else. Following the footprints and wisdom of luminaries, giving the self to national loyalty is the sole responsibility of Eelakesari.

Ka. Sivathambi recommended that Eelakesari is the pioneer of non-secular magazines in Sri Lanka. He mentioned that it was founded with the grounds and agenda towards gaining political rights for Eelam.

Contents

Eelakesari had the primary agenda to address the challenges in Eelam politics. It frequently published articles about freedom flight against British dominance and rights for the Tamil community. Research articles pertaining to minor literary genres of Sri Lankan Tamil were published as well.

Eezha Kesari Silver Jubilee edition

Eelakesari published the works of early Sri Lankan Tamil writers such as Ilangaiyarkon, C. Vaithiyalingam, and Sambandhar. Next generation authors such as, Chokkan, Kanaka Senthinathan, Va. A. Rasarathinam, and the generation of authors after them such as, S. Ponnuthurai, Dominic Jeeva, and K. Daniel has written for Eelakesari. Cho. Sivapathasundaram, A. Se. Muruganantham, Raja Ariyarathinam, worked as editors of Eelakesari.

Criticism
