Aghora Sage (C.E 17th century) also known as Aghoradeva was a Saiva saint. He created the Abisheka kattalai[1] in the Tiruvarur temple and wrote Saiva Puranas.

Life

Aghora Sage conducted the Abisheka kattalai[1] and anna thana[2] kattalaiin the Tiruvarur temple. Vaidyanatha Desikar, the author of Ilakkanavilakkam (Interpretation of Grammar), was his student. Aghora Sage lived in the 17th century C.E.
