Aghora Sage (C.E 17th century) also known as Aghoradeva was a Saiva saint. He created the abisheka order in the Tiruvarur temple and wrote Saiva Puranas.
Life
Aghora Sage conducted the abisheka (anoint) order and anna dana (free meal) order in the Tiruvarur temple. Vaidyanatha Desikar, the author of Ilakkanavilakkam (Interpretation of Grammar), was his student. Aghora Sage lived in the 17th century C.E.
