Thirumeignanam T.P.N. Ramanathan (Born: May 23, 1978) is a nadaswaram artist. He is a student of T.P.N. Venugopal, his elder brother.

Birth & Education

Thirumeignanam T.P.N. Ramanathan was born on May 23, 1978 in Keeranur, Tiruvarur district to Thirumeignanam T.P. Nataraja Sundarampillai and Ramu Ammal. He has three older brothers and two sisters. He graduated with a Diploma in Music from Chidambaram Annamalai University.

Personal Life

T.P.N.Ramanathan married Mangaiyarkarasi on June 1, 2006. The couple have a son, Saisudhan, and a daughter, Bhavadharani.

Contributions To Music

Thirumeignanam T.P.N. Ramanathan joined as a student to his brother Thirumeignanam Venugopal in 1992 and participated in concerts with him. In 1993, he joined Chidambaram Annamalai University as a student of Sembanarkoil S.R.D. Vaidyanathan Pillai and graduated in 1996 with a diploma as the top student and received a gold medal. Since 2015, he has played alongside the nadaswaram artist Pandamangalam G. Yuvaraj. He played the nadaswaram as a temple artist in Singapore Krishna Temple. In 2018, he participated in Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival. He is an ‘A’ Grade artist in Trichy All India Radio. He is an ‘Asthana Vidhwan’ (an honarary title given to court musicians and dancers in India) of Kanchi Kamakodi Madam.
