Tamil Wiki - Thooran Award: An annual award given by Tamil Wiki Internet Encyclopedia to individuals under the age of fifty that have made notable contributions to the fields of culture and literature. This award is given in memory of Periyasamy Thooran, creator of Tamil Encyclopedia.
History
Tamil Wiki Internet Encyclopedia, which is developed and maintained by Vishnupuram Literary Circle, started giving this award in 2022. This is an annual award given to individuals below fifty years of age who have made notable contributions in the fields of culture and literature. The award is presented in a ceremony in July or August every year. This award is given in memory of Periyasamy Thooran, creator of Tamil Encyclopedia.
Award
The award includes two lakhs rupees and a sculpture.
