S. Navaraj Chellaiah

S. Navaraj Chellaiah (1937 - 2001) was a Tamil writer. He has written books related to fitness, health and sports. His books were nationalized by the Tamil Nadu government in 2010-2011.
Works
S. Navaraj Chellaiah first studied sports and obtained his doctorate from the University of Madras. He has worked as physical education teacher in Alagappa College Karaikudi, Vidya Mandir Chennai, T.V.S. schools. He has worked in Chennai YMCA college as a professor and head of the research department in the college.
Department of Sports
S. Navaraj Chellaiah wrote research books on sports, physical health, exercise, physical education, yoga and mental health. In 1978, he released an audio tape titled Sports Songs. He wrote a text for Tirukkural, Arathuppal called 'Thirukkural New Text'.

From 1977, S. Navaraj Chellaiah published a magazine called 'Vilaiyattu Kalanjiyam' and served as its editor.
Movies
S. Navaraj Chellaiah directed a movie called 'Ottapanthayam' to show the pride of sports. He also took responsibility for its story, dialogues, songs, music, background voice, acting production (Ottapanthayam).
Awards
- S. Navaraj Chellaiah, who excelled internationally in the field of physical education, was awarded the 'Udarkalvi Kalaimamani' award by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
