Henry Irwin (1841 - 1922) was a British Architect. He designed many buildings in India during British rule which were classified as Indo-Saracenic architecture. He was a member of Civil Engineering society. He received Queen Victoria birth day honors on 1888.
Life
Henry Irwin was the eldest son of Henry Irwin (senior), a priest in an Anglican Church, Ireland. His father was an Archdeacon in Elfin. Henry Irwin had three younger brothers and two younger sisters. . He joined Indian public works in 1886. Most of the time he worked in South India.
