B.R. Rajam Iyer (B. R. Rajam Aiyer/ B. R. Rajamaiyar) ( January 25, 1872 - May 13, 1898) was a writer, novelist, journalist, spiritual and philosophical thinker. His full name is B. R. Sivasubramanya Iyer. Rajam Iyer wrote ''[[Kamalambal Charithiram|Kamalambal Charithiram]]'', one among the first few novels written in Tamil.  He is considered as the pioneer in realist novels in Tamil.

Rajam Iyer was born on January 25, 1872 at Vathalakkundu , Tamil Nadu in an agricultural family. Ramaiya Sastry was his father and Rajam Iyer was born with nine siblings. The livelyhood of the family was a few agricultural lands of Ramaiya Sastry.  B. R. Rajam Iyer got married at the age of 13 to the 9 year old Ramalakshmi.

Rajam Iyer was born on January 25, 1872 at Vathalakkundu , Tamil Nadu in an agricultural family. Ramaiya Sastry was his father and Rajam Iyer was born with nine siblings. The livelyhood of the family was a few agricultural lands of Ramaiya Sastry. B. R. Rajam Iyer got married at the age of 13 to the 9 year old Ramalakshmi.
