Azhagiya Thiruchitrambala Adigal was a Tamil poet from C.E 17th century. He is a Sitrilakiyam poet. Kili Vidu Thoothu[1] is his important work.
Biography
Azhagiya Thiruchitrambala Adigal was born in Makala Elandurai , Thiru Ambar Makalam located in southern bank of river Cauvery. He belongs to the Sozhiya Vellalar caste.
At a young age, he joined Dharmapuram Aadheenam as a student of Thiruvambala Desikar and was initiated as a sage by him. Azhagiya Thiruchitrambala Adigal took charge as an eighth Sannidhanam of Dharmapuram Aadheenam[2]. By the order of Thiruvambala Desikar, he established a monastery at Sorkkapuram.
