Udhayanan (September 6, 1949) is a writer, editor, field-based researcher, who wrote historical romances and historical fiction. He did extensive field-based research on Pallava kings and wrote many novels. Writer Sandilyan was his literary ideal. He has written more than twenty historical romances and fiction novels that exceed a thousand pages.
