K. Ganeshram (born January 19, 1981) is a Tamil writer and Translator.

Birth, Education

K. Ganeshram was born on January 19, 1981 in Cuddalore to Krishnan Rajarajeshwari couple. He did his schooling at St. Valanar Higher Secondary School, Cuddalore. He did his MA in English Literature from Puducherry University. He received his PhD in English. He took Comparative Literature; American Literature; Post Modern Fiction as research topics.

Personal Life

Ganeshram is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Chidambaram Annamalai University. Wife C. Bhuvaneswari, a Lecturer at Government College of Nursing, Cuddalore. Daughters Mathura Sri and Mituna Sri.

Life in Literature

K. Ganeshram's first story 'Gokulam' was released in 1994. The prize-winning story was published in Manikkathal anthology published by Palaniappa Brothers. In 2009, the first translation was published in Kalkuthirai magazine. Ganeshram's translations have been published in Independent magazines like Puthu Ezhuthu, Neetchi, Pavalakodi, Adavi, Kanali, Puravi, Sirukathai, Thanimai Veli.

Awards

  • In 1995, the short story 'Gokulam' won the first prize in the Azha. Valliappa Memorial Short Story Competition.
